This federal agency needed to implement Presidential Policy Directive 8 (PPD-8) to enhance U.S. preparedness. As part of the mandate, the organization needed to facilitate input from the “whole community.” In practical terms, this meant that it needed to create a process that would encourage broad federal inter-agency collaboration, and at the same time, meet an accelerated timeline for development of PPD-8 deliverables. Faced with this significant and complex challenge, the agency turned to Aveshka for its expertise.
Aveshka’s team of emergency management SMEs provided insightful recommendations regarding policy options, conducted gap analysis, and helped develop red team policy documents. Additionally, we developed a holistic strategy for engaging the entire community, and provided meeting facilitation and logistical support throughout the complex process.
